Initial Idea

The typical magazines im aware of are the typical fashion genre's aimed at the female audience involving gossip and celebrity scandels, and for men the magazines focused on women, attractive actors and cars and motorbikes. Therefore I want to go agaisnt what i know already about magazines such as fashion and gossip, therefore want to completely change the target audience and genre of the magazine and go for something like music for young to middle age men, or moterbikes/cars for young to middle age men. My magazie will be based on motown bands, this is the music genre that came straight to mind because its very popular yet unique. Doing this genre will allow me to involve interviews into my magazine with particular bands whereas something like 'house' music, its more of a production of music than one artist. I have never focused on a music magazine before therefore believe it will allow me to notice the main aspects and the particular methods they use to attract their audiences.

NAME IDEAS: MOTOWN, LOUD, BASS. all music related, but motown grabs the concept straight away, clearly because its the name of the genre, its also a catchy sounding word that look effective.

BAND IDEAS: JACKSON 5, STEVIE WONDER, SMOKEY ROBINSON etc. These are very famous artist and therefore people are eager to know information about, life stories and their music careers and so on.
